This website has been created by me, Simon Frogley, primarily for children and young people, but adults are welcome to enjoy it too!  "Wild in Britain" is a vast subject, and so I hope to be able to add sub-sections to it over the coming months and years, so please return to see what is new!

The glow-worm pages formed part of my project, "Light Paths to Their Future", which won me the titles of Young Environmentalist Champion of UK 2003, and British Runner-up Award in the International YPTES & Thames Water Young Environmentalist of the Year Competitions.  In 2004 I was awarded European Runner-up in the YPTES & Thames Valley competitions for a project entitled "Wildlife Begins at Home", which concerned the creatures that could be found and helped in private gardens - which are now a major habitat for our wildlife.  My project for 2005/6 is "Life on the Edge", which is dedicated to the wildlife that struggles to survive on the pitiless boundary between our Islands and the ocean, and investigates some of the ways in which we can help it.
